Of course, each team uses our award-winning sauces. Our goal is to support and encourage these teams through the entire process and to celebrate the wins, big and small. Meat's My Mistress Barbeque Team
Based in Pilot Grove, MO
Father and son Bradley and Weslee Vollmer, have already made a name for themselves with their mouth-watering barbecued meats. With the help of Bradley's wife and daughter (who insists she's only there for the ribs), the team ended their first season with an impressive record of four first-place finishes, one fourth-place finish, a Grand Championship, and a third-place overall finish.
Black Dog BBQ RI
Based in Warwick, RI
What started as a casual hangout and cooking session with a group of friends, turned into a business venture that has survived the test of time. Today, the business is kept alive by its two founding members, Juan Tejada and Rob DeReamer, who have turned their love for cooking and grilling into a successful business.
Scratch That Itch BBQ
Based in Overland Park, KS
A husband-wife (Alex) team from Kansas, competing alongside with their 2 kids (Walden & June) and rowdy chocolate lab.
They believe that great BBQ is a labor of love and it’s more than a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.
As a family, they work hard and play hard…and when that itch to BBQ comes on, ya just gotta scratch it. 😉
